Voiceovers And The New England Audiobook Retreat – The Not Silent Blog 11/1/16

What a weekend!

I was honored to be an instructor at Johnny Heller’s Spendliferous Audiobook Retreat at the Whispering Pines Conference Center in West Greenwich, RI. This place was beyond beautiful.

The amazing group of instructors were Debra Deyan, Michelle Cobb, Carol Monda, Peter Berkrot, and Steven Jay Cohen. And of course Johnny’s much better half Jo Anna Perrin, who was critical to the event’s success if for no other reason than Johnny doesn’t like math.

That’s us!

The weekend was filled with panels, workshops, and the always-awesome Listener’s Lounge. And smores. I ran workshops about Marketing and E-Learning. The students were both eager and a pleasure to work with.

Johnny’s next Splendiferous Event will be the pre-APAC workshop next May. I’ll post the info when it becomes available.

Thank you Johnny for asking me to participate in this unique, incredible event!

TIP OF THE WEEK

The Retreat reminded me that to be a successful voice talent you must invest time, money, effort, and kindness. If you skimp in any of those areas, you will fail.

HAPPY HAPPYS

Happy Caramel Apple Day and Zero Tasking Day! Does eating a caramel apple count as a task?
